FMT Story
Not completely sure of everything, but here goes from memory.
FMT was getting a nice subsidy each year for purses from a local Indian group / casino in exchange for not seeking slots. Subject subsidy was going to go down or be eliminated.
In the meantime, simulcasting revenue as declined each year, and the place needs lots of money for various repairs. The local fairboard? agreed to receive naming rights revenue from an Indian group which included the elimination of racing. Subject "deal" was done in back room style, without the input from the public and horsemen. In parallel, the facility group people had already signed an agreement with the horsemen for racing in 2014.
Like cj said, the 2014 meet almost did not happen, and the current is strong for trying to eliminate racing altogether any year now. I would not be surprised if 2014 was the last year.
For reasons not clear to me, FMT holds the distinction of one of the places my wife actually liked racing at from a visit there about 15 years ago, and it would not be easy to talk her into a return visit.
I had not noticed that FMT did not include internal fraction timing these days.

Why should we give our time to a track that won't give us theirs?

Does Timeform attempt to classify the horse as Early or Closer or anything like that? I actually like what I see from the free preview.

Running styles are definitely coming. The terms could change, but I use these:
Leader (need the lead)
Speed
Tracker
Midpack
Closer
Plodder
No Form

strong suggestion..... on pp's, need the ablilty to toggle from race 1 to race 7, for example (takes too long w/ a slow connection to progress race by race )
used to be able to do this until this week

I did the same thing you did, but you don't have to do it that way. Just click between the arrows on the race number itself and you will get the same drop down menu you did in the past.

An indicator there would be nice.

question for the Timeform folks.....
How do I cancel my "unlimited" track subscription? I looked around the site, can't find where I can cancel out
With Twin Spires closing Texas accounts I have no need for unlimited access. Just one day on the weekend for me from now on (if that).

I don't see it either.
As a guess, email or phone them. You'll find both contacts here:

I like the layout. The pace prediction graphic is worth the money all by itself. I'm using other things now, will give it a try when I let one of the others expire, which will be soon.

A couple a things...
Will TFUS be available at TwinSpires?
Is there any way to use TFUS figs comparatively in a single race, so as not to have to move from entry to entry? Currently I copy the figs to a notebook so I might view them all together for comparative analysis. I see that in "Preview" mode there is one number published per entrant which is helpful, but to truly get the full benefit more depth is required, the last five numbers for each would be a nice addition. I guess what I am asking for is to be able to scroll through all of a races entrants running lines w/o clicking on each separately and having to work one entrant at a time.
Good luck to the TFUS folks on their launch, I look forward to further improvements.
