I have owned handguns for many years...and have even illegally carried them on my person without much concern. I don't like the feeling of being afraid to walk the streets, so I won't be relinquishing my gun-ownership rights anytime soon...no matter what the politicians think. But I will always be in favor of background checks and gun-safety training for new gun owners. There are too many crazies out there.

What? The crazies you speak of don’t go to safety training and if they are DQed from buying a legit gun over the counter, they will get one anyway. You’re playing the same game fools like politicians in Chicago play. Hundreds of gun laws, no change in gun violence. In fact it’s worse because you help perpetuate the black market.
Guns are not the problem. People are. Anybody can kill just about anybody else a million different ways if so inclined. Crazies don’t go to class to figure out to do it

Gee, Ralph...I would never presume to know more than you about what is happening in Houston...but you have no problem telling me about what is happening in Chicago. You are obviously much smarter than me...since you don't play any "fools games" yourself. Is it your Police background that has made you so widely knowledgeable?

Love the sarcasm. I thought you left Chicago? I didn’t mean any insult.
Chicago is the go to example for poor gun laws. Thask you have to admit The crazies aren’t going to follow the law.

Yeah...I thought I left Chicago too. But unforeseen circumstances have me splitting my time between Chicago and Las Vegas. I didn't take anything as an insult, Ralph...and my sarcastic response to you was meant as a joke. I don't enjoy arguing with nice guys.
As I said before...I am a long-standing gun owner, and I don't want my guns taken away from me. But I must also say that I cringe whenever I see people walking up to private gun sellers at gun shows, and purchasing guns without a background check. Yes...there are crazies everywhere, and they aren't going to follow the law. But that doesn't mean that we should be making it that easy for them to legally obtain the weapons that they feel they need.

There are only 3 liberals still active on this board. Which one of the 3 tells you not to worry about the vaccine side-effects?

You're one funny guy.
If i actually gave a **** how many there were, I might be concerned.
The fewer the better though.
And for the record, I wasn't talking about JUST this board.

Lots of stabbings happen as well. Will we soon need background checks to purchase and own a set of cutlery? Wouldn't put this one past Biden and to see him continue his dictatorship style of Executive Orders.
