Any word about admission? Or seats ? I just want to make sure I get in . They usually have a 50 k limit . I honestly didn’t think they’d do a 4 day deal. But I’m not complaining.

One of the great things about the Belmont Stakes is the 'True Test of a Champion' in running 12 panels in the final leg of the Triple Crown.

Sucks that it won't be run at 12 panels, but not much you can do.

At least there is an amazing venue to host while Big Sandy gets renovated.

I guess this means the Met Mile is going to be run out of the Wilson Chute...?

Please say it isn't so

Ya beat me to it, POT.
More disrespect for a once great stake race.
Might as well run it at 7 furlongs rather that stupid mile chute.

What are they, embarrassed to run a big day at Aqueduct?

Will they call the 4 day crap BAS, Belmont ar Saratogga, or BAQAS, Belmont at Aqueduct at Saratoga?

Tom, Aqueduct probably can't hold 10,000 people and there are virtually no seats.

Maybe we should cancel it for a few years. Would that make people happy?

Please move the Met. It's one of the greatest races in the history of the sport. Any listed stake that replaces it will handle plenty on that Belmont card. A good Met can carry an entire card on its own. IMO, running it out of that chute (which I don't mind in general for miscellaneous races) would be a terrible idea.

Patrick McKenna NYRA spokesman was on Steve Byk's show this morning & I am pretty sure he said the Met Mile will be a part of the Belmont Stakes Racing Festival at Saratoga.

We had 7 runners and 2 scratches (9 final entries) in the Met Mile this year.

Not too worried about the chute. I couldn't tell you if 'Toga 23' made any adjustments like a rail or two gate slots open for any bias.

Hopefully a great day.

The Met Mile will cease to be important in the years they decide to run it out of that god awful chute.

I really hope they run it at 7f but I doubt that will happen.

Or better yet, put it back on Memorial Day, where it it is a true feature, not a midcatd filler.

The Met Seven Furlongs run at BSR. That's clearly going to screw up a few of my database queries.
