just down...accross the street from main entrance is a decent Italian restaurant. I have forgotten the name and a jacket may be preferred in there. I have gone there on every trip to GP. . The sushi bar in the GP mall is good if you like that fare. They have a diplomat hotel over on the beach. Not much else around the area {unless you want to drive a ways} so i would stay with the spots in and around the track. Good luck. Going to the facility right at day break is something to experience. . The sun rises up over the beach and then over the track as the horses work. No wonder Mike Welsh still clocks.
