“The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully.” - Richard Dawkins – The God Delusion

Infants dashed to pieces
Isaiah 13:11 – 18 I will punish the world for its evil…Whoever is found will be thrust through, and whoever is caught will fall by the sword. RSV
Kill man, woman, child and infant

Deuteronomy 13:6 – 11 If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods… But thou shalt surely kill him…And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. And all Israel shall hear, and fear, and shall do no more any such wickedness as this is among you. KJV
You will eat your children
Deuteronomy 28:53 And thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters, which the Lord thy God hath given thee, in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee: KJV

Ephraim, as I saw Tyrus, is planted in a pleasant place: but Ephraim shall bring forth his children to the murderer. Give them, O Lord: what wilt thou give? give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts. All their wickedness is in Gilgal: for there I hated them: for the wickedness of their doings I will drive them out of mine house, I will love them no more: all their princes are revolters. And the Lord struck the child that Uriah's wife bare unto David, and it was very sick. David therefore besought God for the child; and David fasted, and went in, and lay all night upon the earth. And the elders of his house arose, and went to him, to raise him up from the earth: but he would not, neither did he eat bread with them. In my previous response I gave you the benefit of assuming that your use of the double negative was unintentional, otherwise you have two posts which contradict each other. (Think about it.)
Whatever, your post was non-responsive. I'll make it easy for you. Give us an example of just one passage in the Bible which could not have been "invented" by a mere mortal.
The claim itself is ridiculous. Take "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." Sounds like something Dickens wrote.

The bible isn't a collection of unrelated, unassociated passages. The bible is the cohesive, organic story of the historical creation of the universe, the fall of mankind, God's redemptive plan to save sinners throughout history and His Son Jesus Christ's historic fulfillment of that plan of salvation.
But I'm not surprised you would ask such a foolish question because this is how you see the bible -- as a bunch of unrelated, unconnected, disjointed stories, which is precisely why you cannot understand those stories because you ignore context.
As far as Dickens goes -- you sound like a losing horse player -- "coulda, woulda, shoulda".

The curse of sin is death. It appears God made good on his solemn warning to Adam and his progeny.

God isn't good because you are adverse to him being a just God. God would have been unfair or unjust if he had not given Adam a heads up beforehand on what would happen if he disobeyed.

All taken out of context. Just because you personally don't like the penalty prescribed by God doesn't make him unjust. It just makes you self-righteous.

Right. My opinions have nothing to do with it. God's actions are what make him unjust.
