Rating trainers
What is the US way of rating trainers? Do you just use the overall career of the trainer for the last X months or y starts or do you break down the odds of their runners i.e. Favs, 5/1 or less or 10/1 or less or is it by each runners beaten lengths or ???
What about "Travelling Trainers" who take horses across the country? What about quick backup trainers or first up trainers?
I realise all of the above are being done but which do you think have the most merit?
