Another great one from way back is The Philadelphia Story , with Hepburn, Grant and my all time favorite, Jimmy Stewart. All three in their prime!

One of two movies that had me bawling over the musical score - the other one was "Marley and Me." (I'm a big wuss about animals).

I thought “Richard Jewel” was excellent. By far the best movie of the year.

Knives Out - didn't think I'd see this one based on the trailer, but my dad told me it was very good and I agree. Nothing absolutely incredible, just a very entertaining "who done it" with a surprisingly good cast.

JoJo Rabbit - went into this one not really knowing what to expect, and came away thinking it was the best movie I'd seen in a really long time. VERY well done...a truly original take on a topic that has been covered in an infinite number of ways to date. A must see in my book.

Agree, watched both the past couple of weeks and really enjoyed them. I do think Parasite was slightly better than JoJo but Jojo was really excellent. I often wonder if our reaction to movies is heavily influenced by what our perceptions are before we see them. I have not watched Uncut Gems yet and my feeling is I will not like it. Heard that one of the main plot points is something that is not actually a real thing so that will probably ruin it for me.

Now couple of other things I have recently watched again that I enjoyed immensely. Sound of Music. GF's favorite so we watched it on Disney+ and they have cleaned it up, not sure if is now HD or what but it was amazing. New TV so that helped but really unbelievable how beautiful that movie was.

Chitty, Chitty Bang Bang - an old favorite from when I was a kid and it was a great re-visit. Benny Hill is the child catcher which cracked me up when I realized who he was. Great movie.

Tonight I am watching Uncut Jem (redbox), if I don't post back on it then I did not care for it.

I suggest to all to enjoy what is out there, after this I think things are going to be very slow for movies real soon as far as new content.

A couple of don't-miss 2018 fact-based flicks: Can You Ever Forgive Me and A Very English Scandal
Both are hilarious!
The latter is actually a three-part series.

Has anyone seen a movie called THE PLATFORM? It's easily the most bizarre, weird, twisted movie I've ever seen--I can't even describe it.

If you've seen it I'd like to hear your comments. I don't know how anyone could even think of this "story".
