Have you machine gun-toting guys ever thought of moving to a better neighborhood? It's a lot easier on the nerves.

There are those that argue that more capacity than that would turn you into a homicidal maniac.

IGNORANCE.

Every gun should be registered. An unregistered gun is a jail sentence. A registered gun is a right and responsibility that should be honored and protected.

This coming from somebody that has never, nor ever will unless absolutely necessary, own a gun. You take away my right to protect myself to the best of my ability and you have effectively enslaved me.

If guns are no good, why the hell are the authorities so damn well armed with them? Because, wait for it...........handled properly and responsibly, THEY WORK.

The United States is not even in the top 100 countries by intentional murder rate.

The beauty of the United States is that a guy like me, and there are literally one hundred million of us, live in a society that allows us the right to bear arms, yet we don't feel the need to. For the most part, the citizenry is civilized, and the authorities are, for the most part, responsible and non-intrusive.

There can be no better society to exercise liberal gun rights. Why the hell do people want so badly to restrict those rights? Guns have been around for about 700 years now. Murder and rape and dictatorial governments have been around a little bit longer anyhow. Where is the correlation between murder and guns? It doesn't exist. Guns are absolutely unnecessary to commit murder.

Are there people out there that condone gun-less murders? Is that the goal? Zero murders by gunshot? Is that the goal? If so, why? If we eliminate murder by guns, then we'll just have to address murder by butter knife and bailing wire. Or is murder by butter knife or bailing wire OK?

I really don't get it.

I sleep well.

You guys are nuts.
i have a sig 9 on the edge of the bed. A S&W .40 in the night stand. A 12ga leaning up in the corner and three shotguns and an AR in the closet lol. Then a cabinet full in th basement lol. Ran out of storage in the cabinet so those moved to the closet. Inherited quite a few and have bought quite a few over the years. I do hunt a lot and shoot a fair amount. Will be inheriting another dozen or so when my dad passes. I also have a stripped lower that I need to build too. Last count 6500 rounds of all calibers/loads. I’d say I’m ready for anything lol

There is only one gun "restriction" that I would propose: The person who insists upon carrying a gun on his person should be obligated to pass a gun proficiency test...to ensure that he knows how to use it properly. If this is too strict a "limitation"...then I apologize.

I'm with you. Every gun should be accounted for, and every user should be licensed and trained.

And if one of your registered, licensed guns turns up missing, you got some 'splainin' to do.

You want to retain the right to own those guns, you need to be responsible in the ownership of them.

Do people have to pass a test to exercise their first amendment rights?

If you have to prove that you can drive a car before you are allowed to drive...then you should have to prove that you can shoot a gun before you are allowed to use one.

No...it's just common sense. Which is probably why it escaped you.

Make libelous claims against somebody and see how far your first amendment rights get you.

So, yes, in a way, you do. Nothing in the US Constitution gives anybody the right to irresponsibly harm others.
