Hopefully the 1st 4 races are allowed in this section, too :-)
I'm just going to use this as a live follow-along thread for the afternoon, good luck to everyone tackling Del Mar today!!
Race 1 - - I'm siding with the Moonshine Alice here. Sadler/Rosario is always a decent proposition, but the real angle here for me is the sharp drop in class, coupled with the ship-in from Churchill. This horse faced better in KY and FL, and before her last lay-off, she faced MUCH better and showed up admirably at Santa Anita (along with an odd ship to Aqueduct for an overnight stakes.) I think she's shown her best at this distance on this surface, and the later we get into this meet, the more I'm digging first-time DMR starters like this one. Taking her to Win and in rolling doubles.

Race 2 - - 2yo Fillies, and this is a contentious one, but I'm taking the Missilette over a pretty wide-open field. This race could be a 6-horse wall in the end, and really no one would be a surprise - - being such a big proponent of class I'd normally side with the in this spot, but I love the recent work, the comeback off of a win, adding a furlong for a horse that finished STRONG at 5.5f on this track last time out. Win and KH in rolling doubles for Missilette.

Race 3 - - This race is why I won't be playing the P6 today. That being said, I LOVE the Steve's Blue Sky in this spot. Look, its MSW, so we're not talking about world-beaters here, and the ones with experience ( and ) have shown promise on turf, not plastic.
The on the other hand is a sharply-worked Sky Mesa firster who I think will not only fire for Neil French in this spot, but kick-start a BIG day for P-Val as well. Betting him to Win and in rolling doubles.

Interesting find in the 3rd, positive. Love the workouts, love Sky Mesa as a win-early sire, yet French is 0-25 with firsters.*

R4 - - Remember when I said big day for P-Val? I'm taking him again, this time up on the Good Friday Gal.
I like the aggressive turn around here to the same level, same distance, same surface where she finished 2nd 2 weeks ago. You could argue for the Indiara and I wouldn't disagree, but I like the pattern here and will stick to to win and in rolling doubles.

I'll happily concede if he loses, and he might, but I think of those 3 factors,
1) Sharp works
2) Sky Mesa as a win-early, and
3) French 0% firsters,
Number 3 is easily the one that has the least to do with THIS horse. Nevertheless, your point is well taken, and I'm standing by the

The disappointing effort by heavily favored Cathy’s Crunches is a strike against Alaska Miss, Miss Nikki C and Michailasheartlite.
