That's a real shame. I could tell from his posts and his efforts that he was a true horseplayer and a true friend to horseplayers.

He will truly be missed.

Rich Bauer was a man of vision and deep conviction...and he will be sorely missed.

His death saddens us deeply...and leaves this board greatly diminished.

I am just incredibly saddened, the man was a champion. Glad to have known him, wish we'd had more time. RIP Rich.

From the earliest days of the internet horse racing chat rooms I recall reading his contributions. Sorry to hear of his passing.

So sorry to hear this. I learned alot from watching him play a couple of summers ago.

He was a joy to go racing with.

I'm shocked! I had no idea there was anything wrong. He just posted recently about the success he was having with his program and sounded so excited.....guess you never know when your time is up.

Prayers to his loved ones.
I will miss his posts here.

It's always sad to lose a fellow horseplayer. I enjoyed corresponding with Rich and will miss him. How sad that he will not be at Tampa Bay Downs this year. Perhaps if there is a winter contest here PA will consider naming it after rrbauer and have the races be from Tampa Bay Downs?

My sincere condolences to his family.

Jim
