Because he crossed over in front of a rival without sufficient clearance causing that horse to fall.

Could very well be the best thread ever here on PA. Super debate presented with respect. Well done!

You think Paco is still riding that way? I think he has gotten way better about safety than he used to be.

I have not watched him recently, how long has this been going on?

The notion that what Prat did had anything to do with the whip rule. He would have tried to move in no matter what the rule was.

I agree. Sorry didn’t mean to suggest that Pratt’s actions would have been different. Was trying to answer and elaborate on Class’ question.

I watched the video again this eve and it does appear that Prat did shift his weight to bring Hot Rod in to Mandaloun.

Hard Luck Charlie can't catch a break. Mandaloun on the other hand, wins this by DQ and will probably win the Derby by DQ. amazing

Its hard to see Paco riding as much right now because he has been everywhere. Park, Monmouth, today at Colonial Downs. He is a dirty rider and knowing he didn't have room to sneak through I feel he should have backed his horse up. Prat is a very good jockey and not one to try and play or ride dirty but mistakes happen. This is just my opinion on watching the race. It sucks for everyone involved in the race.
