He has scratched horses in the past because of the outside post draw. I think one of them was either Gamine, or one of his fillies from a year or so ago. There are a few others, too -- and it always happens outside of home base. It doesn't really speak volumes of his confidence in the horse, as a good one will overcome the post. There is more to it, obviously.

The only reason I can think of is if the horse is blind in one eye. Seriously. I was once shown a winning photo and was asked what the trainer, jockey and horse all had in common. Answer: They were all blind in one eye.

I had an ill bred at Arlington, slower than molasses.

Maybe we can win at fairmont. He did twice and was claimed away.

Doug O'Neill has the Hot Rod Charlie in as good 3yo physical condition as we have seen since Bobby had Authentic fully developed last year, and HRC is likely a well backed deserving chalk here.

Midnight Bourbon 5/1ml is still a 'bear' in my eyes. I wasn't surprised at the result of the Travers, but I also thought the 123 TFUS was accurate, and I believe unfazed by the Haskell incident. Essential Quality has been right up there at Breeders Cup Classic Winner level.
MNB Not a sexy pick, and there are legit concerns as to the brilliance/ceiling, but I'd love to see the public anchor-bias to that "5/1" and reach or get creative to the others -

Plenty of stimulating choices for the wandering eye in here;

Speaker's Corner reminds a bit of his daddy, Street Sense.

American Revolution is taking a swing here and a couple defections bring him to post '8'.

Fulsome is another thriving horse in a top barn. I like that he has been making moves against the grain, and I like that Brad Cox went the 'Philly route', to the PA Derby by prepping in the Smarty Jones.
If he's a fair price, I will consider keying underneath.

I think it's safe to say MEDINA SPIRIT would have wanted no part of HOT ROD CHARLIE on Saturday. That was a serious performance by a three year old getting very good at the right time.

Problem is I still haven't seen anything to make me believe KNICKS GO won't just run them off their feet.

Starting to get the BC bug. Big time.

Only two are allowed to be played.

The cost for each entry is $10,000.

They ARE transferrable.

If anyone wants this one for $9500. First come first serve.

I can call Tim Schram at Breeders' Cup and have the entry put in your name.

Cash or Pay Pal is fine.

Give Baffert credit. Medina Spirit looked great in the Awesome Again with the extra rest and post 5.

I may have been wrong. He would have given HOT ROD CHARLIE all he wanted and more in the PA. DERBY.

Gotta think MEDINA will now be the 2nd choice in the Classic.
