Majesto
Easy toss for me. Think 2nd in the Florida Derby will be his career highlight. Anyone want to agree or disagree?

I don't know if he'll win the Kentucky Derby, but not an easy toss. I thought Dig Deep ran a 3 yo stakes winning performance earlier in the Florida Derby card breaking his maiden and as such I was loaded on everything with a straight Nyquist, Moyhamen, Majesto, in the win place show spot for tris and supers. Didn't work out, but that's horse racing.
He's beaten winners in Dig Deep, Street Gray, Gettysburg, and Mohaymen; and finished within a length and a quarter of Destin. Which of these have done much better? Not many.

i don't think most people can play the horse and expect him to leapfrog all the other closers based on what he's shown.
you have to eliminate horses, and if you struggle w/ xing this one you're prolly on the wrong path to begin with.
this horse shouldn't survive anybodies first cut

15 of the last 23 Kentucky Derby winners have run the opening half mile of their previous 1 1/8 mile prep in :47 3/5's or under, while finishing the race in 1:02 3/5's or less.
This year only Nyquist and Mojesto fit that angle.
Since 2003 of the 42 starters that have fit this angle there have been:
8 winners
4 seconds
2 thirds
2 fourths
A $2 win bet on all 42 ($84)returned $124.20

Majesto came in 2nd to Nyquist in Fla derby & 3rd to Destin in his first ever maiden race, makes you think about him. Maybe underneath in exotics for Majesto.
Waiting for post draw to figure out how Nyquist might run.

this is like those football betting angles you see every week in the nfl. you know the ones that say stuff like. the jets have won their last 10 of 15 games when up by 3 pts in the 2nd qtr.

I like Majesto a lot. He reminds me his sire in many ways. I already had a win bet on him in the Florida Derby and, oh boy, he looked good when he came closing down the stretch at 20-1. And watching his galopp-out told me he has plenty left in the tank. Improvement is written all over him...
