Lot of MD races at Belmont today...I've found the best way to 'cap for exotics is TRAINER/JOCKEY% TOP - 3. You may get lucky and hit a monster with this "mode" The biggest payoffs have usually come from T/J%

I follow everything you put up on here seeing if they can help me for what I want to do. Since I am not playing till Del Mar, I watch your picks rooting for them like if they were mine.

Thank you Ed. I'm planning a full-out assault on Del Mar. We kicked @$$ @ Belmont last year...just not feeling it this year. Don't know why but I've learned to not force plays where they aren't working. And find out where they are.

We'll make some money @ DM this year

It's being tested and developed for the new program--still a ways away from completion, Ray. I'll keep you posted via here and the newsletter--thanks for your interest

Meanwhile PLATINUM and EXOTIC are doing well....I've said before, I'll never top PLATINUM for everyday 'capping. Everything else is gravy.

LOL.....nailed another low-paying pick-4 @ Belmont. I had several good looking "price" horses in the mix...mostly chalk winning though. This is the EARLY pick-4 I posted from EXOTICS T/J% MODE

COMPLETED: d9221-2cdf2BEL#2$0.50 Pick-4 - 5, 8, 9, WT, 1, 3, 8, WT, 1, 3, 7, WT, 3, 6, 7 none $40.50 $86.62 + $46.12

I know people are wondering "Why are you betting those low-paying tickets?"

Answer: How am I supposed to know THAT in advance? That's just how it works out sometimes. If a couple $12.00 winners were in that sequence....could have been a $400 ticket.

Yeah...that's the deal with exotic betting....you whiff a lot...hit some small wins....then that one biggie comes along and puts you 40 units up. The thing is---you need the bankroll to withstand the losing streaks. It's best to just stick to doubles or exactas until you have a large enough bank.

Or...if you aren't comfortable betting $100 a day---nothing at all wrong with that. You can still know the thrill of victory...and the bitter, life-sucking agony of defeat, on a smaller scale.

I think it was Hemingway...or maybe Doyle Brunson that said something like "Gambling is only truly gambling-- when losing causes real pain"

That is so true. Remember when AOL came out---and they had online games you could play for free. You had a mythical bankroll. After two minutes you were bored to death---in Hold 'em--people would raise and bump the max on nothing--because there was no pain in losing. You just got another mythical bankroll.

That is how I am now with those free games. I just get bored. I have been trying to find a way to get the 3 horses down to 1, but everytime I think I am making headway, it seems something happens and I am back to the beginning again.

[QUOTE=NorCalGreg;2183795]I don't think there is a better track for EASY WINNERS. If there were bigger fields here.....I wouldn't be playing Belmont Exotics--would start right here at SA with Easy Bet horses, and add 1-2-3's

--THEN see what I have to work with:

Since you said that, I started playing them (easy winners). 7 wins out of 10 bets. Learn something new on this thread everyday.

Since I quit playing SA last wee, not because of not winning but everything going on, were the prices any good. I was only finding 1-3 plays a day.

Some people spend $1,000's on software...plus monthly fees, upgrades, par times, and God knows what else. Then take six months to learn the thing. I wonder if they hit 7 out of 10 very often.

At $35.00 ...you can buy at least 40 PONYPICKER programs for that price. Do the world some good--give them out to the homeless. Send some to Venezuela--the only learning curve is being able to push a button...and read a tote board.

Greg,

Looks like Exotic Bets! Horizontal Ability Number hit the late pick 4 at Santa Anita friday (7,4,4,8) for a $.50 ticket that paid $10,649.40
