Love it!!!
States can change the US borders? Who knew?

I posted a link earlier in one of these threads showing that the Feds own 30% of the land that would be used for the Texas wall. The rest is owned by state and local governments, Indian reservations, and citizens. Acquiring that land could take years and costs a good chunk of that budget, if Trump ever gets it.

And anything Trump tries to do without Congressional approval is going to end up at SCOTUS.

So you won’t be opposed to building the wall in the rest of the border until the rio grande issue is worked out. Something tells me it’s just an excuse for you.

I believe the legislature can change anything they want in Texas...........they would change the state border for sure.
Now how many court cases would that spawn?

The $ Billion was not reached and as promised funds will be returned. the $20 Million raised was still quite impressive.

Yes... raising approximately 0.2% of the required funds certainly demonstrates an overwhelming public support for the wall.

Most of the money was raised during the pre-Christmas period of time, people in the holiday giving mood . It never lasts. Either that or only 325 thousand or so people really give a damn if a wall is built or not!

I read this morning where the GoFund me money just needs to be redirected to the charitable organization the guy that set up the gofundme account started. If they don't redirect it then it gets refunded. I would guess a bunch will be redirected. The fund gathering hasn't stopped just being done through a different medium.

Personally, I'm not reading anything into it. It has been shown in the past that interest of the typical American in any cause wanes after a while and it's on to the next cause celebre. I also think that if Trump didn't make it such a big subject in his campaign, waited until he got in office and had someone introduce a bill to build such a wall , they would already have started work on it. Also, I partially blame Trump and his bombastic comments in general for hurting his chances of getting anything done. Why rile up your opposition? A wall is fine with me.

Who's going to stop the guy from "redirecting" a lot of it into his own pocket?

Not that there is a lot of oversight into GOFUNDME projects...
