I got a calendar from Gulfstream

i was down at Gulfstream last week, i picked up a calendar from them and hung it up when i got home a few days ago. the calendar is beautiful, nice pictures and they have all the stake races marked on the calendar so you won't forget them..

i just thought it was a great idea. the bank i was getting my calendar stopped sending them this year and i didn't have one so i lucked out in a big way. every track should put out calendars with their schedules on them.

I miss when Aqueduct would give out the NYRA calendar on New Years Day every year. I might still have 1 or 2 int he basement somewhere.

good to hear you're enjoying that calendar...but since it's Gulfstream and the passage of time is involved, you may want to check and make sure all the months have the right number of days

the 2 times i went to Gulfstream this year was on a Wednesday. i took my dog in the place and walked around. the place was empty. i really like the paddock there because if you sit in the last row you can really catch a good look at the horses. one of the days i went i caught a Brendon Walsh winner that looked dead fit to me and when he went on the track he was on the bit. the horse was coming off a layoff and knew he would be pretty tough if he was right. the horse paid $8.00. then i saw 2 other horses that didn't look good to me and they both ran awful at short prices. on the weekends i am told it gets much busier and tougher to move around and follow the horses.

i got spoiled with Saratoga last summer, they do an excellent job of showing the horses in the paddock and on the track and i am much better off watching the live feed than being there.

That's cool. They let you take your dog in to walk around?
Man, that (+a warm day) sounds like enough excuse for an occasional part of my routine even if I bet $20 a trip.

They also gave me a 2022 Maryland Jockey Club Calendar at the Horseshoe Casino one of the first few days of January. Had an old timer talking Laurel and Aqueduct w/ me and he said "Go Get a Calendar!" Turns out the Teller had some to pass out.

Forgot I had one until I read your thread and looked up on the shelf under the New Years stuff.

I get one every year from Twinspires. It has all the big race dates on it also.
