What tracks have higher clm prices fore state breds?

Open Claiming races at most tracks have all entrants running for the same price.

Some have state bred horses run for higher claiming prices.

These tracks run state bred horses one or two level higher.

Canterbury--open $10k state bred $20k

Lone Star, Prairie Meadows, Remington, And Turf Paradise run for one level higher.

When I see a horse from Tup from a claiming race class of 10/8 I know the horse was in a race with AZ breds and it ran for a tag of 8k.

This is not the 20/18 where the horse got 2-3 pounds of weight allowance.

I use this to make my class ratings.

Some tracks I seldom play or see in pp's may do this.

I suspect EVG does this. Do other Texas tracks do this?

Do you know any other tracks that does this?

If EVG is Evangeline you’re referring to, no they do not do that in Louisiana. Not in thoroughbreds anyhow.

I should have done my own research.

I went to the chart archives and looked at tracks I was unfamiliar with.

These tracks run open claiming races with higher claiming prices for state bred horses.

Canterbury
Lone Star--not Sam Houston or Retama for some reason.
Prairie Meadows
Remington, not Will Rogers
Sunland
Sun Ray Park
Sunland
Turf Paradise.

I didn't know there were so many that protected their own.

This is helpful if we see horse coming from a 20,000/12500 claiming race. It ran for and was a $12,500 race.

Has a sample been made up of the actual percentages of using the last line.

The more I read about the importance of the last line has lead back to the same question is why are we looking for a excuse to disqualify a horse and the last question is pass the race when 3 excuses arise

However a state bred can carry 3lbs less in an open race and he runs for about 25% more purse money in the same race. (see added ALBSS)
