Probably the thing to do.

Don't know how SA stayed open. Gov Newsom issue a statewide stay-at-home order seven days ago, which means only essential businesses. I'm confused.

Los Al is Orange County, Cal Expo is Sacramento County, and Golden Gate is Alameda County. We will have to wait and see what those county health departments do. (FWIW Sacramento County is somewhat conservative and might want to keep stuff open; Orange County is moderate; and Alameda County is liberal- I wouldn't expect GGF to be open for much longer.)

Do they have a governor out there? Most states do.

This was a county decision. Newsom's "order" is something less than a full legal prohibition- local officials decide how far to take it.

I can believe that since there are tracks in California still racing.

I can believe that, dilanesp, since there are still 3 tracks still racing in the State.

I think tomorrow's big card at GP is racing's last hurrah for quite awhile.
They will all shut down soon.

Nope, horse racing will continue somewhere, someplace as long as the internet holds up.
Might see the resurgence it so desperately needs in these trying times. It's the only game in town!

I hope you're right.
Actually convinced a friend to bet the FlaDerby tomorrow in the hopes that racing will get its hooks in him.
The pressure to make a winning bet for him is immense LOLOL
