No way would Lincoln be thought of as a Republican in today's political world:

“What is conservatism? Is it not the adherence to the old and tried against the new and untried?” ― Abraham Lincoln

When I reflect on the word "conservative"...not one positive image enters my mind. Why the Republicans chose this word as a label for their ideology is a mystery to me. Was our world advanced by "conservatism"?

Republican are not conservatives. They do not have a conservative ideology. Greedy incompetent bastards would be more apropo.

Conservatives use the GOP as a vehicle only. From time to time, we can get enough of the undecideds to take it over. There are just not enough people out there with strong enough character be be real conservatives. When the GOP can't carry the conservatives, they lose. They are dependent on the conservative vote.

Which just underscores how terrible Hillary actually was!
Trump is not close to being a conservative, buthe is miles from being a Hillary.

If he talked to them, he could ask what it was like growing and developing into the savages there are under the nose of BILL FREAKING CLINTON - the terrorists' best friend in the 90s.
then maybe he could arrange a reunion of Al Qed with their founding father, you guessed it, BILL FREAKING CLINTON - the terrorists' best friend.

Bad idea, but at least HE is trying to make the world safer.
Even for people like you.
