Guy is a clown who is still living off his Giacamo pick in the derby. Listen to him on a Saturday gulfstream card and it is apparent he doesn't handicap..

Ken R. is by far the weakest handicapper on TVG, has zero clue as an analyst. Takes wild stabs just for the sake of perhaps getting lucky on a longshot while providing unsound reasoning.

When an ignorant and totally unprepared "handicapper" like Ken Rudulph can get a high-profile job as a "racing analyst"...you can tell what TVG really thinks of its audience.

Yup. Bet his $40 pick 5 on the app that he did no homework on, lose, go find something else to bet on.

TVG thinks their customer is an idiot.

yes

I NEVER WATCH TVG anymore--RTN way to go--I often wondered how he and most of their people keep their job--TVG is obviously more interested in the sports betting arena than horse players--

Just watched him pick a 22/1 at MVR. Ran up the track per usual. If TVG is listening, please shut Ken up….

Ken Rudulph does not provide benefit to the industry, TVG, the handicapper, or the audience. One can appreciate his desire to give morning television a shot with Good Day Sacramento as an alternative to horse racing. Ken is not committed to the sport; rather, he is committed to being a broadcaster and that means being on-air. Unfortunately, when he insults viewers with poorly researched selections, he comes across as a carnival-barker.

The real impact of Ken Rudulph getting early week air time is the decreased presence of Rich Perloff particularly on Mondays and Tuesdays.

As Rich says about himself, he is a recovering attorney with a love of all things Shakespeare. I always got the sense that Rich put in the work to educate the audience (his tool box concepts) and respected the viewer - he is humble when he is right, more humble when he is wrong.

If they want a token black guy I suggest they just go to various tracks and OTBs and start engaging the patrons, and bring some guys in for a tryout.
Ken Rudulph is a one man clown show and an embarrassment.

For a guy who once posted here that he doesn't see race, you sure do talk about it a lot (when you're not talking about the gay community).

I was starting to miss making fun Elkchester Road...not anymore

I think what people don't seem to get is that Rudulph was on TVG for 12 years, left, then was brought back. He's done this same routine the whole time. This is how TVG wants him to cover racing or they wouldn't have employed him for 20 years or whatever it's been. They think it's entertaining, obviously most of us don't but there's not a need to call the guy a token. He's a professional broadcaster, just not a good handicapper.

So why is he on TVG? I am sure they want educated viewers as most people losing more than the take should eventually give up. They want more players and higher pools, not less. Rudulph is a negative to the bottom line. He should be paying them. I remember the old Rudulph as I haven't watched TVG in 10 years. He never learned a damn thing.
