does white privilege cause this or is it the racist roads Pete is going to fix?
from your article ->African-Americans make up about 6% of the city’s population but constitute 41% of homicide suspects and 58% of nonfatal shooting suspects.

Unfortunately Democrats will never own the problems they created, until they do things will never get better. A good example was headline news recently of the Austin Simon, hood rat father of nine, killed in self defense, because he attacked a store worker who wouldn't give his daughter a bag of chips. Somehow his hood rat baby momma felt entitled to a bag of chips after her EBT card ran out of money. Someone has to make people think like this.
Once people start playing the race card about all the effects of oppression I just point to Asians, look at the chart, once again they come out on top.
It is also known that black people commit a disproportionate amount of hate crimes against Asians.
The media loves to portray black people as victims, that doesn't help things either, it makes them worse. Then there is this slave reparations BS, coming from a liberal state that never had slaves or Jim Crow laws.
The quick way to lower homicide rates is strictly enforce the gun laws we have, especially felon in possession. Those usually get probation or a light jail sentence. Most of the people with long rap sheets killed by police have a handful of those. Bring back stop and frisk while enforcing illegal gun possession strictly. If you have to build more jails, so be it.

The connection of gun death is with gangs wrho fight for turf in the drug trade. Addressing that problem would have a profound effect on the gun violance. Liberals are as stupid as they can get when dealing effectivly with any problems, especially with anything complex.

So the open border allows more drugs into the country. Then the gun violence increases.......

But, hang on, if we can get enough illegal drugs into the country, the laws of supply and demand will drive the price of illegal drugs down. Gang members will be forced to find gainful employment. So, let's help illegals bring more drugs in. That'll solve the gun violence problems.

That is a fact they love to ignore, the bulk of mass shootings and juveniles killed with firearms are gang related. Random attacks like school shootings, racists shooting up churches and supermarkets are just a drop in the bucket, but they get all the attention. The gang culture needs to be stamped out, of course if you do that you will be filling up the jails with the oppressed as gangs that are populated with white people that sling dope aren't pulling drive by shootings at funerals and will be harder to put away.

How the state votes as a whole and who the governor is has nothing to do with how a city is run. The nonsense you post knows no bounds.

It is very relevant. Big cities- in fact-all cities, get much of their funding from the state. If the state doesn’t support education, social programs, job creation and rehabilitation programs, the city is powerless to support these things as effectively as they would wish.
Why don’t we take a look at the murder rate by state?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...cide_rate#List
Here we see that 8 of the top 10 STATES by murder rate are deeply red states. I’m sure that you are going to argue those numbers are influenced by the large Democratic cities in those states. My response is there are large cities in blue states. Yet, only two states, Illinois and Maryland make it into the top ten-at eight and nine.

This says cities aren't getting a big chunk of state money:
https://www.gfoa.org/revenue-dashboard-cities
Education, social programs, job creation and rehabilitation programs will do little to someone who grows up in gang infested areas and buys into the gang culture. I have a hood rat nephew who actually had decent parents and was never around gangs, he got into drugs and his ginger freckled faced dumb ass
started listening to gangsta rap and adopted the lifestyle. He had a rather long juvenile rap sheet he was proud of, then did 9 years in the state pen.
He doesn't need any education, social programs, or rehabilitation, he needs to be incarcerated or dead. There are people that can't be fixed.

Definitely agree with your last sentence. I came from a small family...and have a lot of that.
