Recent Derby Trail DQ?

Just going off of memory here, but wasn't there an inquiry/objection in one of the prep races that resulted in a disqualification within the last couple years?

I realize it's not the same level as the Derby, but points are still at stake. Anyone remember the race I am referring to?

Found it. It was Ann Arbor Eddie in the 2017 El Camino Real Derby - was disqualified from second to fourth.

McKinzie DQ in favor of Bolt D'Oro was controversial call in San Felipe last year.

Incidental rubbin' is racin'. Thought it was weak but proof even Baffert can be brought down on his home turf.

And McKinzie had the outcome go his way in the Los Alamitos Futurity last year when Solomini crossed the wire first but was DQed to third for bumping Instilled Regard. Who was the jock on the disqualified horse that time? None other than Flavien Prat!

There were incidents in both the Fountain of Youth and the Florida Derby in 2015.

Upstart was DQ'd for interference after winning the FOY that year, then ironically was possibly fouled himself in the Florida Derby but the stewards failed to look at it. Upstart's trainer, the late Rick Violette, said that stewards were already headed out of the building when he tried to lodge his objection moments after the race.
