Anybody know what's up with Racetrack Warriors? Says site is "down for maintenence." Wonder if that means they've closed shop.

Why would you assume maintenance means they've closed shop? Has it been up for days or something?

It's similar to Derby Wars. Yes, the site has been down for several days.

Got this info from a good source. Looks like belly up.

1) entered a completely glutted marketplace with a product that was practically identical to other existing products

(2) "Jockey Draft" concept was flawed from the beginning with practically zero appeal per se--all fantasy stable type games have always failed in racing, no need for it compared with real thing and other contest products

(3) site was terrible

(4) no meaningful marketing plan

(5) when they started failing they made countless terrible PR moves like cancelling guaranteed contests, which sealed their fate

So what you have here is a startlingly naive' business plan: " Let's sell pizza - we'll make millions"
