Person complaining about Exxon Mobil excess profits
For most oil companies their PROFIT margin is not that big. For Exxon Mobil in 2021 it was 8.3%. The estimate for this year is 10%. A lot of people mistake GROSS revenue (all the money a company is paid) with PROFIT (the amount of money left over after they pay all of their expenses.

I keep hearing gas will be $6 a gallon in Illinois. That’s ridiculous. I got gas this afternoon. It was only $5.99.9 a gallon.
