Why not start one "Covid-19 Related" and forget all others, anything anyone wants to dump into that has Covid-etc can reside there.

Because there are too many different aspects to this subject. To dump all covid-related topics into one thread would make finding a particular aspect quite cumbersome.

So the trick is to get others to post, stop being the lightning rod and if someone wants to comment good or bad on your post cool beans. Particular aspects die in threads that only get one follow up post.

I don't care about your "trick" or getting others to post. Others can post or not post. Common sense says that when a story or a subject has lots of moving parts, it's best to create sub-topics in separate threads in the event anyone wants to follow that particular story easily.
