Congratulations horse racing!

You would think on racing's biggest day, and will all those $$$ being raked in, they would have double checked, even video timed races.

I guess I shouldn't complain, if it weren't for horse racing where would simpletons find cushy jobs?

Like a big dummie I download GP's card for this weekend and my brain just malfunctions looking at them.

How are they getting pace figures with no fractions? what about speed figures... you're telling me, you can't put fractions in the past performances? but you can somehow calculate speed and pace figures

wtf am I doing with my life

If you're talking TimeformUS PPs I can answer. I video time the races when possible, fractions included. If you aren't, I have no idea.

This is one of the reasons I think it is important to look at both time and positional performance in relation to pars. If things don't jive, a deeper dive is in order.

CJ should not have to do all the extra work he's doing trying get accurate fractions and times for races. That's preposterous for a major track in 2022.

The flip side is that I agree with you.

If you know the running styles of the horses in the race and watch the replays to see how the race developed (who got out well, who urged, did the leaders open up on the rest of the field, was it a battle etc..) you can usually figure out if the pace was fast or slow and more importantly did it have an impact on the result. When the fractions and the analysis agree you know you are right.

Yeah I'm using bris pps at the moment and can only imagine what they're doing to conjour up these random pace and speed figs.

I give you credit... you're at least making the best out of a poor situation.

When you factor in these horses running nation wide... Gulfstream park is just ruining the resume of these horses that are winning. Who's going to pay extra for breeding when you win races and nobody knows the fractions?

This timing issue is much larger than gulfstream realizes.. they're effecting much more than just their track. They're biting into every track these horses ship to, and future breeding sales.

You think a big company like Equibase would confront them and demand that they fix their issues.

Equibase supplies info to HDW and whomever else buys their products

Are they doing something or just sitting on their hands and robbing customers?
