Where is the best track to play?

We all have written off California Racing do to the boycott, the high take out, their betting menu, types of bets they have, costs of a bet, short fields, and drugs they use on horses, etc.

So where is the value , Kentucky, Florida, or New York.

Maybe another track that we are missing.

So People, where is the best value in bets, field size , and a track that keeps to form. etc,

So where does the majority of your bets go.

Me, as of now, Kentucky and Fla , soon, my money will be going to Saratoga when it opens.

When I go to Del Mar to visit the track, No kidding, I will be playing the Spa, I bring my laptop and log on to Twinspries to play. Del Mar is a very beautiful track, Please don't get me wrong on this, Del Mar is very enjoyable to visit.

Why, I go with a bunch friends every year in Aug.

Anyone else.

There is no "best track'" to play...IMO.

The horseplayer should follow two or three tracks simultaneously, and cherry-pick the better races therein...while avoiding the others.

I second Saratoga, but Belmont this year with very little rain, has been a nice meet for me.

I seem to have good success at Colonial Downs. A lot of Maiden Claiming and Conditional Claimers with big fields where you can get some good odds and huge scores.

I generally stay away from Arlington, Belmont, etc. because it's hard to find the high odds scores - at least for me, anyways.

I personally love playing the stakes races around the country.
Right now you can have 5-8 added money or graded stakes events each Saturday and Sunday between KY, NY, CA, FL, NJ, DE, IL, Ont

You can make some good scores by following these horses and the pools are nice because of the extra national attention.

I love the Spa, one can make a killing on Daily Doubles playing there.

See the results from last year, some of those DD are very huge.

They are huge because they are hard to hit...

I agree, but what a bang when one hits one.

You got to agree with me on that one.

I like one dollar DD, I can spread and I am not afraid to do it in a full field.

I love six over six for 36 dollars in open races.

The best track(s) to play are those where your betting records indicate you are able to turn a profit.

Exactly. It's whatever track you are in tune with, or your handicapping specialty works best at. And it's easy to find the track---look where you making the most money and that's the one.

Small and mid sized dirt tracks with long meetings work best for me. The giant majors with all the sharp players are often difficult, although this year did have a good late Churchill meet. Unlike most on this forum, am not looking forward to the start of Del Mar and Saratoga, and intend to decrease my activity for the first two or three weeks. As my local SoCal otb site is now open 7 days a week, having been going more often on Mon-Wed, non California days, and have been pleasantly surprised. Have found tracks such as Indiana Downs and Prairie Meadows to be quite playable.
