She wants the 'green energy' to eliminate all fossil fuels in 12 years. I wonder how she will eat, as I do not know very may farmers that work with horses and solar tractors.

Exactly. 
Modern day society is very dependent on fossil fuel products.
Anyone who doesn't think so is living in a cave world mentality.
Even the keyboard that people use to get to this site is made of material from the petroleum industry, as are hundreds of other manufactured items that we need every day.
