Arrogate is probably a bad bet at the 2/1 price he is going to be.
What if he hooks California Chrome early and maybe a horse like Frosted is there to run them both down at like 6/1?
Seems like a better bet.
I am rooting for Arrogate though to win by 15!

I am just wondering how Arrogate can be so highly thought of in a race of this magnitude. He is so inexperienced. How can people be so confident?

Cause he just looks that good.
It's pretty simple.
If you think the Distaff was epic, we might be in for a helluva encore tonight.

I hope we get at least 3-1 on Arrogate. I am unloading at higher.

I think if California Chrome loses today he will be retired and not run in the Pegasus. And that would be much worse for Gulfstream.

I think his stud fee is set, despite the outcome today. I was thinking that is why he continued racing at 5. But you never know. If Winstar owned him, your probably right about retirement.

Agree 100%. I thought Dortmund was way over-hyped yesterday (posted it in a thread in the selections section), and I believe this one is today. It was a nice Travers win, but it was his best race by a ton. He doesn't run that race he did at 'Toga, he's getting just casual mentions today. He ain't seen nothin' like CC in his very young race career.

The million dollar question is what do the mile results say about Kiran's horses.
Does the mile mean Frosted is live and his horses like the track?
Or.....
Did they think they'd win the mile with that horse and that's why Frosted is in the Classic.

Based on the comments by the trainers of CC and Arrogate it looks as if there will be a very good turnout for the Pegasus. Lots of TV commercials during the BC to hype the race. One slot has changed hands over the last 72 hours purchased for a cool 1.2m, that's a nice profit of 200k....

I just want to say that I find Art Sherman to be a cool dude and a class act. His response at Belmont as Tonalist was winning really impressed me. He's done nothing to make me think any less of him since.

Once they got rid of the complainer that camp has done nothing wrong. They are the little guys no $6000 Brioni suits no $250,000 diamond studded rolex watches, just a good group living the dream most would give their right arm for.
