I’ll defer to you.

I was a reluctant vegetarian for a few years. I fired her when I’d had enough. I now eat meat reluctantly. I pay for it digestively.

Ever watch the Jazzy Vegetarian on PBS?
She, and other Vegan cooks I've seen always have some snappy substitute, like "Vegan Butter", Beyond meat, plant based fish fillets,"fakin bacon".....

It's like they are obsessed with meat and need to fool themselves.

So my question is, if you really are against eating meat, what do you do about eating veggies that were grown in fetilizer?

If you are going non meat I would think nothing would be better than eating nuts trying to protein load, maybe a vegetation can tell me different.

Let us just take what would have been needed for my muscle maintenance
for a 225 pounder 225 grams of protein a day. Eating tuna you would consume 1,023 calories to get that much protein, eat shelled peanuts you would consume 4,885 calories. That is an unneeded 3,862 calories a day, 3,500 extra calories unburned equal a pound of fat.

I think there are very few long term successful athletes that are vegetarians.

The one I think the most famous back in the day was Bill Walton and he was injured more often than not through his NBA career.

I tried being a vegetarian for about a year and a half. It didn't work for me. I felt weak...even though I was eating enough food to maintain my bodyweight. I added fish and eggs, and felt much better and stronger.

The problem isn't believing the Bible has all the answers. The problem is believing mine or your personal interpretation of it does.

I think vegetarians can eat eggs and drink milk. It is the vegan who doesn't even consume those.

Actually...I think the Bible has been deliberately compiled in a manner which leads to many different interpretations. That way, when something in the bible seems totally absurd, the "believers" can blame the 'interpretation', rather than the bible itself. And when I talk about "totally absurd" things in the Bible...I mean things like the instructions to stone adulterous women to death...or to crush the skulls of their enemies' children against the rocks.

A good athlete going full stupid converting to being a vegetarian was Colin "the kneeler" Kaepernick. His 2015 season was cut short as he needed shoulder surgery. After the surgery he converted to being a vegetarian under the direction of his girlfriend DJ Nessa who also prompted his kneeling and activism. He did not consult a professional nutritionist, and ended up losing a lot of weight including muscle mass while he was laid up. Since his muscles and speed helped him a lot that was a big mistake. Due to all the cardio, trying to bulk back up in season even if you were getting enough protein is impossible. Anyway he came back as a 1-10 record as a vegetarian, started kneeling and that was the end of him.

If he would have kept the protein up as a young man he would have lost little muscle mass and strength during his lay-off, he might have had a little gut to work off.

No. The Bible was compiled thousands of years ago.

We didn’t know shit.

Now we do.

Would you follow a 1000 year-old guide to fix your car?

I think the Ten Commandments are still a good thing for a person to uphold to this day.

So we cant trust ancient texts? Should we abolish all studies of ancient history.?

My point is What you decide on the Gospels can affect how you live your daily life.

You don’t need the Bible to tell you what’s right and wrong.

Honestly, is murder something you need guidance on?

Without the Bible would you think it was OK?

If you need the gospels to tell you what’s right and wrong you’re an idiot.

You mean if I need the Gospels to tell whats right or wrong in your eyes, Im an idiot.

if I asked everyone on PA, a definition of right and wrong ,I would likely get as many definitions as there are individuals on the board.
