I believe most viewers are like myself, changing channels during commercials -- or even changing channels when the show I am watching bores me for a period of time.
Therefore, if Nielsen avoids people like me for their sample, they are also missing a huge part of the market.
Anyone with some real knowledge of the viewer calculation process?

I was told long ago that cable and dish providers capture data within the system, then fwd that to companies like Nielsen for a small fee. The providers may not admit it but it happens.
Not saying it's fact, just what I understood it to be years ago
And, most are like you. Channel switching is in the male gene. I have to explain that to the wife on a regular basis
