CDRC 2 yo, Warrior's Club is in the $300,000 Spendthrift Stake on October 30 at Churchill. Although still a Maiden he may be one of the top 3 picks. 1/200 of this Partnership cost $500. Deal is that Partners will never be billed for anything. When bankroll is exhausted Partnership will be dissolved by selling horse.

And his (the winner's) share of the purse was just South of $90,000! DWL has done a Hell of a job with this colt!

Warrior's Club ran a decent 3rd in the Grade 2 Kentucky Jockey Club Stake yesterday adding about another $20k to his earnings. I've sure had a lot of action for my $500 and if Warrior's Club keeps winning I may even get it back!

This is a nice colt and you should have lots more fun with him if he stays sound. Congrats on a hitting the board in good company! I know one of the partners in this group (from the show horse world) and they are having a blast. Keep us posted on Warrior Club's progress and next starts.

HOW COOL IS THIS?

Congrats to all the partners. I'd LOVE to get involved in something like this one day.

Our CDRC horse, Warrior's Club is listed at 7/2 ML in the Smarty Jones Stake at Oaklawn on Monday. I sure got my $500 worth (1/200 of the horse with no assessments) on this deal. I think there are 21 Derby qualifying points available in this race.

Club Members also have an option on Derby seats in a special section. Cost is $750 per seat and it includes food and drinks (I think including alcohol).

Warrior's Club ran 4th in the Smarty Jones and bombed in the Southwest. He just won an $82k Allowance race at OP. I think his LT earnings are about $182k. Lots of action for my $500!

Warrior's Club ran 2nd in $150k Northern Spur at OP. Next race will be the $150k Pat Day Stake at CD on Derby Day. Earnings now over $200k. The club used some of his earnings to add an Awesome Again filly. Members will now have 2 horses to follow. D Wayne Lukas will also train the Awesome Again filly. My one time payment of $500 has not only gotten me a lot of action but I have earned most of it back betting on Warrior's Club!

Any new partnerships opening up?

i loathe D.Wayne Lukas, but for just a $500 investment, this is definitely worthy.

There is another in the works. Current Members of the first two Clubs (Warrior's Club and Dial Me) will have preference. But there is little incentive for them to join the new one as they already have the perks that go along with Club Membership. Just watch the Churchill Downs website for the announcement of the new Club.

I just went to the website. They say that if you are interested you should express your interest in the 2017 Club by sending an email to RacingClub@KyDerby.com
