I’m sure that Sen. Joe Manchin III, D-W.Va., will vote to confirm Trump’s nominee. He voted for Brett Kavanaugh.

Not!

O Connor was only 33 days.......... I was pretty young.......but I didn't realize it was only 33 days

Gave her life for her country?? That's a little over the top, don't you think?

Most importantly: "Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) also noted another reason for filling the vacancy. This election could be like the 2000 election and be litigated all the way up to the Supreme Court. You cannot have a 4-4 tie in these cases."

Crazy libs have nobody to blame but RBG's herself for her selfish vanity in not resigning when Obama was prez and Dems controlled Senate

BTW, as an example of RBG's lifelong liberal hypocrisy in voting for one set of rules for you and I but abiding by another set of rules for herself and her liberal ilk, in her 28 years on the SCOTUS bench she had exactly one black law clerk, and in her 13 years before that as a Federal appellate judge she had exactly zero black law clerks . . . racist is as racist does.

Didn't say she gave her life in service for the country. She spent a very large part of her career (at a level where it's not just a job) in service to the country. Wasn't trivializing those who have lost their lives in the military

So I guess the Summer of George is now over and we move on to the Autumnal devotion to RBG. I suppose the rioting will stop for awhile, at least until the outrage over her successor. The Covid lockdown will no doubt go on hiatus for the orgy of funeral worship for the Notorious RBG, which may well surpass John McCain-John Lewis levels and possibly even match or exceed St. George Floyd levels of devotional worship.

I use this quote to add to the new rule book we are told to accept. I say this because I am sure we will see old tapes over and over again of Sen. Lindsay Graham saying he would not support the confirmation of a justice in an election year if it should come up in 2020. This was his comment during the Merritt Garland matter.

The Democrats and liberal media will try to hold Graham to this statement.
If Lindsay Graham has any brains, his answer to this charge of flip flopping should be--"All old bets are off now because of the way Democrat Senators lied and politicized the Brett Cavanagh hearings in an unseemly and wrong manner."

Supreme Court Justices are compensated quite nicely for their "service" along with the perks, book deals and fame.

My condolences to all who loved her and who she loved in return.
Cancer is a horrible enemy to fight and she did it with courage four times.
God Bless anyone afflicted with that terrible disease.
