TVG incompetence=clown show
So today I go to make a wager, didnt get it in because
Well I guess in Arizona your not allowed to use the phone app starting the middle of today. So that is not really a TVG issue per say but....
I get no email telling me this is going to happen, you just find it out as you are locked out of your phone.
So I call the wagering line to make a bet, painful but hey, I figure it cant be that bad. Wrong. So I get to the track code list, 4 minutes later they read off Santa Anita code. Finally, get the wager in, took a total of 10 minutes.
I decide to call customer service. First question, where are they track codes, cant find them on TVG. Answer, good question. Is there one you want right now? I am like, sure but I dont want to have to call you or listen for the list, and do they change daily or they the same. Answer, good question, dont know.
So finally they state they dont have the list on the site, but that it was something they may consider, they stated they would send me one (wont hold my breath). That the tracks do the same, so I got that going for me.
i then ask "what is pro-bet", it was one of the options when I called the wager line. Answer - dont know. So after 3 minutes on hold I get "you dont want to use that, its more for sophisticated players who know the system, you want the other option".
Yup....solid work there, and people wonder why spending money on this sport turns you into a cynic.

What is "pro-bet". Translation: you don't want that because you don't spend enough money.......

Before I got a pc, I used the pro-bet option all the time..trick is, write down the track and wager option codes before hand, and then go to town.
Going on memory, pro-bet is option 1?
Track Code
Race Number
Wager Type
Horse Number
Amount..
They repeat your wager, and I think 1 was send, 2 was cancel..
Hope this helps.

Congrats on getting through to an actual person at TVG - I have called several times looking to speak with someone & have been unsuccessful each time, usually being disconnected by their automated system when trying to find a way past all the recordings. Is there a customer service option in the main menu? What phone # finds a human on the other end? Doesn't sound like service is their number one attribute though. I have also e-mailed with questions a few times & have yet to get one response either (it's been weeks now as well). Very concerning if an important issue were to arise with my account, especially when we all know time can be of the essence in this game. Anybody have a contact they could recommend at TVG customer service?

The one thing they didn't screw up was bringing Kurt Hoover and his distracting in a good way presence on the set - like Lyle Lovett or something. I've often wanted to single out people as being perhaps the worst solo on-air talent, making late night AM radio seem like Academy Award material, but it's hard to single out almost everyone and still call it singling out. Just banal nonsense when these knuckleheads get a few hours to play with, as if they were told they were informed that's a lotta hours and there's only about ten minutes of actual racing so go ahead and babble about anything. But Hoover is perfect with all of these guys. He seems to be able to keep a discussion into something resembling what they started out talking about and can get these guys to act like professional broadcasters just by being there. It makes missing out on a few rounds of Manic Monday not so bad all of a sudden.

Thanks, I assumed it was something like that. Wont take me long to learn that.
What I hopped for and I dont see would be illegal is you batch your bets on a website through the normal interface, then you get a code, you call up and then enter the code which places the bets. Simple and would not take but a minute at worst.
