Saratoga WIFI
What are the thoughts of using free WIFI at the tracks? I'm going to SPA Wednesday and would like to use my phone or tablet on TWINSPIRES.COM to wager in my account. Should I stay off wifi and just use my phone via cellular? Shame I have a nice tablet I could check for late scratches, watch replays, etc.
Appreciate recommendations..

Might consider using your phone as a "wifi hotspot" for your tablet .

The WiFi is O.K. as long as you operate your computer carefully.
I use the WiFi at Sam Houston.
Every once in awhile, while on Equibase I get a warning advising me that for my protection
Equibase needs me to to provide some personal information.
When this happens I just restart my computer and the warning goes away.
If you stay alert and have your computer security up to date, you should be alright.

I haven't been in years, but they weren't blocked when I was there. The problem is by post time or near it, the network is so overloaded it crawls......

I'm trying like hell to get out of a business trip to NY in October, so it would be a 2nd trip to NY. the wife and I discussed visiting Saratoga again. Her father lives about an hour north of the track. But he was just here visiting.
Two trips to NY in a couple months might make me overdose on TSA related syndrome. I cannot stand to fly anymore.
When you are this far west, the SoCal tracks are an easier trip. Anymore playing the horses is always a secondary reason to travel. I've been to Louisiana to the casinos and am over that too.
The game isn't what it used to be

I always imagine a lot of people limping around Montreal when you're at the Spa.

VPN (Virtual Private Network) on phones, tablets, and laptops are generally strongly recommended when using public wifi and it's not a bad to use as a matter of course.
I've used ExpressVPN with success all over the US. On rare occasions it gets gimpy but overall I'm pleased.
Especially important when accessing financial accounts of any kind including ADW's.
