I think all white men, including yourself, should just line up and jump off the nearest 12 story building...to atone for all of our sins against humanity.
That should solve all world problems.

A couple years before the "problem" with Apu, Azaria acknowledged that people had a point in being offended by the impression, and he apologized. But the impression was done "with love"..

Being politically correct is sometimes correct if you are the subject of the incorrectness. Or, if one is aware of the self-aggrandizing bullshit of hecklers who cackle like old hens proclaiming what and who one may object.
There is nothing wrong with social awareness. Heckling and giggling about those who make an honest attempt at change seems to be standard play in the con playbook. And idiotically provides like minded cons, to hi-5 each other ad infinitum.

It’s a cartoon. It’s funny. Mission accomplished. Turn the channel if you don’t like it. Btw, I saw the scene where the writers told this guy to F/O late Sunday night and I knew exactly what it was about having read about this guy and his whining movie. I cheered and laughed. Perfect response.........

Honestly you can't win. If he isn't in the show, that's a gripe. If he is, then he is to be in a position of authority or successful, as to not demean the culture, but must also in as many ways as possible adhere to and respect the culture and not strip him of his heritage. Give him a not-so-stereotypical voice and a not-so-stereotypical look and a not-so-stereotypical career and you have... a really ****ing boring character that I guess goes to a mosque or kneels a few times a day to get the point across that he might in fact be a unique character.
