2 adults and 8 children murdered. Serves 34 years and released, WTF?

Then he should never be freed.
NYS is run by morons.
Come to thin of it, he should be executed.

Probably cost the state at least a Million to keep him locked up the last thirty years. Where's Robespierre when you need him?
But at least he can vote in the 2020 election, felony notwithstanding.

You don't have to worry about him shooting anyone as now with a violent felony on his record he cannot own a gun. Also the cocaine made him do it. Since he is 68 years old I doubt he will use cocaine anymore. No gun, no coke, he is no more a danger to society than Sister Jean. Where is the sarcasm icon?

often times these guys are let out because they have a terminal illness and the state doesn't want to pay for treatment. Maybe that's the case?
you never hear about it........but it happens

Why bother treating him - just let him die of whatever it is he has.
Did you ever notice when they give a lethal injection, they use an alcohol wipe first???? WTF?
Save some money - use old needles.

Because the charges were manslaughter, not murder, he was allowed out. And why was he convicted of "just" manslaughter? The jury. Disgraceful.
"At the time, some jurors explained that they opted for the lesser charge because, according to a Times article from 1985, “they were convinced that Mr. Thomas was acting under extreme emotional disturbance because of a cocaine habit.”

Thomas was released according to the laws of the State of New York. Whether we like it or not. Don’t blame those who released him now. Blame the prosecutor who could not convince a jury to convict him of murder.
