claims
Is a list kept anywhere of all horses claimed at a particular meet? Is this public info? Where could one find such info without going over each chart of the races run during the meet?

Sorry, I can't remember where I've seen this type of list but, I have seen one which showed periodically during a meet the claims as of a date, the horse, claiming and claimed from trainers (btw, it was a long and extensive listing) but, it was a PDF file. It may have been from the track(s) website. Just check out several since I usually follow Cali tracks try one of the major ones or it may have been from the CHRB website which provides a lot of info.

Here is an example from Del Mar's website. Again, it's a PDF file which will be difficult to work with.

Try the website of the track of your choice and in the search box enter "claim" or something similar. I forgot on the Dmr site included was the # of shakes (interesting info).

Most tracks do list this info that you are interested in. Usually it is under horsemen services somewhere, and listed as claims register or claims report. They will all look like the one posted above from Del Mar and contain the same info.

Thanks, Striker. Tried this at Gulfstream and the report was right there.

There's some useful and interesting info in those reports .... why can't the tracks present the info in a downloadable spreadsheet compatible file format?
It's almost seems as if the tracks don't want to provide usable info for a handicapper. No way can that be it, so it must be something else.
I have a newer version of Excel where you can save an Excel file in PDF .... can you reverse it by saving it as an Excel file? How?

Most have them, but they are only for the most recent meet. I haven't seen any tracks that archive claiming info. But most do keep it up until the next meet starts.

Santa Anita and Arlington are two of the tracks that do have archives listed on their websites, but their reports aren't up to date for their 2015 meets. Arlington has reports that go back to 2008, and Santa Anita archives go back to 2013. But like I said both of these tracks only have their claim reports updated thru their 2014 meets.

NYRA has it under Horsemen/Claims but I don't see any archives, just the month of November.

Equibase has Claim data for last 2 years, by track.
If you search for track and go to the Results tab, there will be a link for all claims.
Here is AQU data for 2015:
