The country really is divided based on geography, in California I sensed anger when Trimp was even mentioned, same in Manhattan where I work. Lots of anti-white sentiments as well.

In my office (in CA), apparently someone is spreading rumors at their kids schools that now all latinos will be deported.

The founders thought about it too. That's why they decided to make it a republic and not a democracy. That old thing about the tyranny of the majority, you know.

Funny how the liberals love this silly little system when it allows the big blue states to run rampant over the little red states.

My wife runs a middle school math department . The school is over fifty percent Hispanic. Her kids would make anti trump comments the past week, obviously getting some conversation from their homes.

One of her kids brought up abortion in a casual conversation between testing (isn't that murder, some kids asked). Hispanics here are mostly catholic, abortion is something that isnt in their normal bag of values. During conversation they learned Hillary was pro abortion.

This had to be a dilemma. Does a Latino / Hispanic vote for their race... Or religion... Long discussion there, my wife wanted no part of it. But you know in Hispanic homes they had to discuss and go over this

Ok, Einstein. Explain why a vote in Wyoming should be more important than a vote in CA.

As Obama said before the election, both sides know the rules going in...

Elections have consequences.

POTUS is not elected by the people.
Never has been.

He is selected by the states.
Individual votes are not to determine the POTUS, but the electorate in the House.

Like guns, that is the constitution....there is a way to change it.
You lefties had plenty of time to do it over the last 8 years.

Myself, I support a change to direct election, too.

But for now....:lo l:

I believe that he designers didn't want the states with large populations to overwhelm the smaller states in national elections, so they created the electoral college.

The fathers wisely wanted to avoid rule by tyranny of the majority.
