I must be stupid, cuz ET posts links and I don't see any that point to the virtually identical Senate bill that was passed 2 weeks ago.
Or else it does not exist and the dims are peddling BS again.

Trump just changes his mind. They won't publicly agree to the sun coming up in the east unless Trump tweets it first at this point.

If this is so, then the republican swamp creators that Trump has had to depend on,
gave him bad advice to assure that he is only a one term president.

Over 10 years, right? So, 2.5b per year...
And say he signed it....the next president & Congress could just end funding, could they not? So there is no guarantee over that 10 year period, was there?
So really, in effect, what you're saying isn't quite the whole story, as usual.
As if they were just going to hand Trump $25 billion tomorrow to build his wall....not....

The House Freedom Caucus has been a major cause of gridlock for awhile.
Ultimately Trump is responsible for who he takes advice from. Recently it's been Rush and Coulter.

This is how budgets work.
So by your logic if it can't be done in the next 2 years why bother right?
Furthermore that's why DACA was tied to it granting citizenship after 10-12 years. Both sides got their hostages.
Normally how it works. Trump's just an idiot and now can get nothing or cut a significantly worse deal.

I know Mitch wouldn't have passed funding bills that he knew Trump would veto... so something changed Trump's mind in the 11th hour.

I still can't find it .. is this the one? that funded a CR extended to Feb 8?
https://www.appropriations.senate.go...ugh-february-8
so what kind of double talk is that? they agreed to fund until Feb 8 3 weeks ago, so now they should make it for an entire year? they passed it then, so they should pass it now ???
I am not sure who is trying to fool who, but sounds like BS

Coulter sure looks like she's bailing off the Trumptanic.
(later on we will hear that he wasn't a "real" Republican, was never a Republican, it's not their fault, he wasn't one of them, he went rogue, and how they could never have foreseen such a thing......)
She's always been a rather good troll and now she's getting absolutely BRUTAL on Trump:
http://www.anncoulter.com/columns/2018-12-19.html
GUTLESS PRESIDENT IN WALL-LESS COUNTRY
December 19, 2018
......"His business is convincing people with lowbrow taste to give him their money.
He's a vulgar publicity hound who used to call reporters in a fake voice and pretend to be his own PR agent, "John Miller" or "John Barron," so he could brag that actresses wanted to date him......
....On one "Apprentice" episode, the reward for the winning team was: to see Trump's apartment. Not to eat there or spend the night. They got to see it. "As a little treat," he said, "you're gonna see the nicest apartment in New York City." He added: "I show this apartment to very few people. Presidents, kings ..."
It's not as if a majority of his voters weren't clear-eyed about what kind of man he is. If anything, Trump's vulgar narcissism made his vow to build a wall more believable. Respectable politicians had made similar promises over the years -- and they always betrayed the voters. Maybe it took a sociopath to ignore elite opinion and keep his word.
On the basis of his self-interest alone, he must know that if he doesn't build the wall, he has zero chance of being re-elected and a 100 percent chance of being utterly humiliated.
But when Trump is alone with Ivanka, they seem to agree that the wall has nothing to do with it. The people just love him for who he is! In a country of 320 million people, I'm sure there are some, but I have yet to meet a person who said, Yeah, I don't really care about immigration or trade, I just love his personality! .....
"...In the end, we'll probably find out "wall" was Trump's "safe word" with Stormy Daniels...."

Both houses have agreed to extend through February 8th. It was ALWAYS a kick the can solution to keep the government open and have the wall fight at some point this year. Trump was on board with this plan until he suddenly wasn't...
That's why this shutdown is so absurd and why everyone other than the most partisan folks blame him for it.
