New video is excellent on my Macbook Air w/ Chrome browser but really sluggish on my Surface Pro4 Windows 10 w/Firefox.

Anyone else seeing this?

It seems to me that Firefox v66 has done something to video playback besides blocking those annoying autoplay vids on websites. Try Chrome on Win10 and see if the problems goes away. If not, then it's likely a Win10 issue.

I will look at that, may need to make a workaround in the meantime.

I have a question on Tru Odds - it seems they are almost always lower than the win odds for every entry. I am scratching my head wondering if track take is not figured in or what? but every entry can not be an overlay, or am I not understanding what it calculates?

Actually.. I've checked that a few times myself to make sure my calculations included takeout.

That said.. the one thing I didn't previously think about is I may be double dipping the takeout (May already be factored in the data I'm using for some pools). Checking that now.

Acutally it was much simpler but easier to miss..

I forgot to add 1 when calculating my own odds in decimal format. Fix going out shortly.

Also for clarification on what its calculating:

WIN, EX, DBL, QU pools are aggregated with weights:
WIN Pool is 3x weight
EX and DBL Pool are 2.5x weight
QU Pool is 1.25x weight

EX/DBL/QU are based on "Key" runner odds.

If enough tracks ever turn it on I can easily incorporate TRI Key runner odds as well.

Willpays will be added in as well which should make it much more stable in the long run.

thx - I will check later this week as I would expect 10-30% overlays not 90%.

Its still showing a lot of overlays on some tracks, I've ran through several races manually on all the calculations and can't find anything off at this point.

Also, we are working on other projects that may end up supplanting this in the long term.

You probably already know this but you are using different pools that have different take-outs, that are also track/state dependent. For each information source you need to get a percentage and then normalize each one. For each race, there are some sources not available. Late scratches change multi-race odds. When all done the percentage is turned back into odds.

Willpays was just added to TRU odds calculations and EX pool is now weighted less.

Anyway so far so good.

(EX is weird at time.. maybe box bets?)

Do you have any plans to offer betting on Jai Alai?

Do you know why it is that more ADWs don't carry Jai Alai?

Maybe the pools are too small to make it worthwhile to negotiate contracts with the Jai Alai operators? Greyhound pools must be fairly small, too, so maybe pool size is not the limiting factor?

We've looked at it. There is just a lot of legal gray area offering it in most states and many its not legal.

What makes it a legal gray area -- because it involves humans only (like in baseball and football) and no other species?

Lottery and the big Indian casinos killed Jai Alai in Connecticut. There is still Jai Alai in Florida and it can still be bet on through Connecticut OTB.
