Hopefully Vic gets the Churchill job. I, too, would love to hear his calls again.

Provided he actually applies for the job. I also like his calls.

He's interested in the race from start to finish. Most callers go through the motions and only wake up for the stretch run.

Growing up, Vic Stauffer had a major influence on the amount of passion I had for horse racing. My personal favorite race calls? 2006 Florida Derby when Barbaro and Sharp Humor battled all the way down to the wire. Also 2007 Hollywood Gold Cup when Lava Man won in a thriller. "There's the original rags to riches." I personally, would love to hear Vic at Churchill!

Vic has actually worked for Churchill (the company) already, when they owned Hollywood.

[QUOTE=Dave Schwartz]Perhaps this has been posted elsewhere on PA, I looked but did not see it. Sorry if this was a repost.

Thanks to Vic Stauffer for a "memorialized" last race call at Hollywood tonight.

Sincerely,
Dave Schwartz

WOW..What a wonderful call,I had never been there but Im sure there were some wet eyes after that call.Very sad for the guys who have given their wholes lives working around that backside,Sad for the memories that were. What really is heartbreaking is that 10yrs down the road lots wont have ever heard of Hollywood Park or of all the great horses that graced the backside.Outstanding call Vic ,Very classy. Fitting for a classy guy.

Vic is on his way back behind the Mic!

Great day for racing. This man was born to announce horse races, nobody with more passion calling day to day than Vic.

Can't wait to hear you back in booth, good luck going forward!
