Any Formulator Users; Need Help
Just recently, I've noticed in Formulator, the scrolling is very slow. Does anyone else have this problem? I've tried different browsers but it's still slow.

It has always been very slow for me....races where horses have many starts I find that searching each horse is faster

Just brutal with old horses having 60 or more starts. Pretty much impossible.
Unrelated gripe: why in the WORLD can't the pedigree section include a sire's win % with firsters?????? That part of formulator needs to be simplified and restructured.

I had not used the software in several years until a few months ago, pretty surprising to me how poorly it performs and how little advancement has been made in the software.

I cut the filter down to ten races but it's still been running slow lately.
One thing I'd like to see is the ability to save a filter like 2 year olds, making their first race lifetime in a MSW race. In a race with 8 firsters, I'd like to punch in the trainer data once.
I like the program but maybe it's time they retooled it.

I agree with the 2YO filtering, I use that all the time.
I previously was running this in Firefox as I didn't have any of the lag in scrolling (which is true that it happens with horses with many starts since it must be accessing the data on all of those starts which is the reason for the slower functionality). When I used it in Firefox, I did not have a lag even with the runners with many starts. That started occurring in Firefox last week.
Unfortunately, this is a major bug, for me, as the toggling between horses in a quick fashion is absolutely paramount. I'm glad to hear this issue is shared and not a hardware problem on my side.

I fixed the problem in Firefox. The scrolling feature does not lag at all now.
I did two things and not sure if one or the other worked independently or you need to do both together.
1. ENABLE SMOOTH SCROLLING (see how to do it at this link)
http://ccm.net/faq/14877-firefox-how...ooth-scrolling
2. DISABLE HARDWARE ACCELERATION (see how to do it at this link)
https://ttboj.wordpress.com/2013/04/...ng-in-firefox/
Massive difference. If you're having issues and use the fix above, please reply back if it worked for you.

Hello All,
I have literally spent hours trying to figure out why I can no longer update and/or add to my trips.txt file in DRF Formulator. For whatever reason, I am experiencing the aforementioned problem and would appreciate any help towards resolving the issue.
I did contact DRF and I was assured that the software is working properly. If that is the case, and I have no reason that it is not, maybe someone else here has encountered this dilemma. I do believe that I have the format correct, but DRF has stated that maybe something on my input file has changed. Don't know what it could be. Any and all ideas and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I tested this last week and had no difficulty importing trips.
If you post a small sample (a couple of races) of what you are trying to import, I'd be glad to take a look at it and even try importing it myself. That way we can at least narrow down the problem. You can contact me privately if you prefer.

A Big shoutout goes to "The Classhandicapper" for helping me with my DRF Formulator problem. It was much appreciated. And, there will be a little something extra in your check next week!

formulator and Moss Pace ratings
I watched the DRF/Moss interview on the net, and liked the fact the Moss
pace #'s were included after the race date .
I downloaded the Belmont Card for June 9th, and that information
is not included on the DRF page.
I called several reps from DRF earlier today, have not received any advice.
I would appreciate anyone who can offer their opinion on this issue
thanks1

The Moss figures are no longer available to be added to Formulator PP's. TimeformUS pace figure lines can be added from the drop down menu. If your preference is Moss they are available under charts and graphs drop down menu in pdf.

One thing I've noticed about Formulator is when you click on the off track feature in the sibling/dam analysis they include off tracks for turf in their figures as well. So if you are trying to find the mudders for an off the turf race Formulator includes, what I assume, good, soft and yielding Beyers in their off track results
