The article was pretty much spot on. I can't see any faults in it.

Kasich is a bone head who thinks that eventually people will warm up to him, half of the country (his own party) hates his guts because he was big on pushing NAFTA prior to passage. In fact half of the democrat's hate him for the very same reason.

Pence is about as exciting as a wet noodle. He does not offer much to be inspired about.

Trump has charisma. Regan had charisma. W had a lot of charisma compared to Gore. Clinton and Obama were both charismatic.

The presidential election is a popularity contest. The winner can seem thick as a brick and still win if s/he has charm and personality.

Hillary just wasn't very likeable. Elizabeth Warren doesn't seem very warm and fuzzy, either.

Biden or Sanders have enough charisma to have a shot, but they might be too old.

Kasich has some charisma, but not nearly as much as Trump. Trump put all his republican rivals to shame. So much so that I don't even see Ryan, Rubio, or Cruz listed as candidates.

Little Marco, Lyin' Hillary, Pocahontas. Amazing Trump got away with that, but he did.

If Ronald Reagan couldn't take the nomination from Gerald Ford in 1976 and Ted Kennedy couldn't unseat Jimmy Carter in 1980,I doubt that anybody is going to challenge, let alone defeat Trump for the nomination in 2020.

Does Mary Jo Kopechne ring a bell? That is what kept Ted Kennedy from being president. Kennedy was running against his own lack of character more than an opponent.

Michelle Obama is the only member of the New Democrat Party that has any chance at winning a nationwide election. She has all of the elite liberal qualifiers.

Does the Iran hostage crisis, long gas lines and double digit inflation and unemployment ring a bell? There's a reason why Reagan flattened Carter in the election. The Kennedy name still meant a lot in those days and Teddy still couldn't lay a glove on Mr. Peanut, despite all those problems Carter had.Obviously, the Kopechne scandal hurt him but it's very difficult to unseat a sitting President from within your own party.
