This Year's 3 Year Old Crop

We thought it was a good one going into the Derby but after Justify and Good Magic I am beginning to wonder. Maybe Gronk and Audible are legit as well. Any thoughts?

Lets let it play out. I think Bravazo is a good horse too. I can see a bunch of horses have decent careers going forward.

I still think its pretty good.

Lets see how horses like Magnum Moon and Audible, if they make it back, look.

Mendelssohn is a fine horse and will do well.

Horses like My Boy Jack and Instilled Regard will be heard from as well. Feels better then last year, which was not won until West Coast late season swoon.

Mckinzie is still out there as well at the mile distance or so.

Audible and Good Magic both look good to me. Axe Man looks good but was not on TC trail.

Ax Man feels like a real stretch to get longer distance that around the mile. Indian Blessing was a great speed horse and his sire a decent middle distance type for Baffert.

I had Good Magic in the Derby and Preakness. I think he is a REALLY good horse.

After Justify put away Good Magic twice, I had seen all I needed to see and gave up on betting against him today.

June 3rd and June 9th breezing only.

I did not like him for the derby. Did not think he was "ready".

Otherwise, I like Magnum Moon a whole lot, and hope they do something with him. I don't follow Pletcher closely......what does he usually do with his wash outs from the KY Derby?

So many good horses didn't come back in the Preakness and Belmont it's hard to tell how good they will all ultimately be, but right now I'd have to say Dortmund, Firing Line, and Frosted are better than Good Magic, Audible, and Instilled Regard.

Dandy and then Travers is pretty typical for him.

I still believe this is a fantastic crop.

We won't really know till this late summer/fall when they start running against elders to really sort it out.

I'm very confident we'll see 3 to 5 of these 3YOs running in this year's BC Classic, and they will be legit contenders.

Mckinzie- Forgot about him. Hard to tell about TAP's spring flowers. I do think Audible who I wasn't high on until the Derby will win some big races this summer.

Don't forget Ax Man. Lightly raced talented Baffert horses have a way of exploding forward in the second half of the season. I wonder if Axe Man has ever worked in company with Justify.

Big Audible fan, but not sure he'll ever race again.
