It's already compiled. The cost of distribution at the margin is near zero.

$100 a year for all the HISTORICAL data, even I'd pay for it.

And they might get a LOT of subs.

They can still charge more for the daily files pre race.

What chaps my hide is that we are not taking profit or doing anything malicious to Equibase. What difference does it make if an open-sourced software is deriving information from historical charts, which are available to look at for free, versus going in manually and searching them for ourselves on their website? It just seems like a dick move from Equibase.

STOP buying any products from Equibase.
Simple.
THEY have the right to restict their chatrs - WE have the right to boycott them.

Not that anyone would ever seriously use the EB speed figures!

The worst crap put there.

Although, I am sure some one will put together a "file sharing" group.
Not that I would ever condone or participate in such a thing.
But I would not ever report anyone who did either - EB can well afford to look out for themselves without my FREE assistance.

Technology will eventually bite them in the arse.
Karma sucks.

The stupidity of the industry to restrict signals, data, etc, that would ONLY encourage people to participate in wagering is amazing.

Agreed. Never known any sport, or should I say 'game', that continually loves to shoot itself in the foot.

They inserted this little doozy on their site as well:

"The Terms of Use for this web site prohibit the use of any robot, spider, scraper or any other automated means to access the contents of this site."

From my experience run-ups are totally unnecessary. This is something the NY guys came up with to throw you off what's really. important. Just think about it awhile and you'll know what I'm talking about. AM.
