Adding to the track tips idea, I suggest a recurring column of "price averages" for tracks with active meets. I'd like to know how much each track is paying, on average (median?), for WPS, verticles and horizontals. Side-by-side comparisons of meet-to-date with last year would be helpful, as would field size data.

No idea how much time/effort is involved in gathering such data, however ... so I'll call this a wishful-thinking suggestion.

Looking forward to your emag. Best of luck with it!

Putting aside the wood for minute, I would certainly be in favor of this project.
Look forward to hearing more from you. Thanks for taking this on.

Each article will stand on its own. I have had a few requests from people who wish to be regular contributors. If you are one of those people, please email me so that we may discuss this.

I am looking for a core of 12-15 authors maximum to begin.

Dave

Thanks for the info. I'll enjoy the input from you and others. I'm far from being much of a writer/contributor, but the subject is most interesting. Thanks again.

It would be of interest...

As long as it didn't tell stories-- In the 3rd race at SA in 1966.

Criticism:

I haven't seen any great horse racing blogs. I'd prefer interaction.

Of interest:

Are horses getting slower?
The effects of slot maching money.
Human interest stories (Track rat's coat rack contained $200,000 in cash)
Larceny
