Favorite/Best Movie?

Not a difficult question on the surface, but tough when it really gets down to it.

Your favorite movie may well not be what you consider the best movie.

Your favorite movie is your favorite for your own personal reasons.

Best movie? A separate category. Is it Best, because of its impact on future movies? Is it Best, because it simply reaches to so many people? It could be Best for its acting, or cinematic influence, soundtrack, or even inventiveness.

What is your favorite?

What is your best?

Excellent question.

I'd lean towards Comedy, but as I get older, real life dramas are more enticing.

But ultimately, it is a Thriller. A Thriller that makes me think. A mystery per se, in which plot twists and thinking are a part of the enjoyment. While they may never be great or best, they are exciting and enjoyable for the entertainment received for the price paid in that moment.

I roughly watch about 1 to 2 movies a week. It is a great stress reliever for 90 to 150 minutes or so. Especially when it is done well.

There is no best movie. There is the right movie for the mood you are in at the moment.

This can be a big problem if there are two or more of you deciding on the "best" movie at the moment.

Almost as if you could suck the life out of a vampire.

Are you so far left you can't even afford an opinion, whilst chastising others, all the while sitting on some imaginary fence of greatness you believe you sit?

Good grief. It is a movie. Have an opinion or move on.

A thread about your favorite movie, and you inject your politics.
Get a life
