Ramon Preciado, the miracle worker
There's nothing this guy can't do with a horse. His latest miracle is Hey Kiddo in the 7th on Sunday at Belmont. We should be ashamed of ourselves that Ramon doesn't have his own thread, I righted that wrong. You're welcome.
Other tracks must be jealous of Parx that guys like Ramon Have decided to show off their training greatness at their Track. Ramon Preciado bobblehead day should be right around the corner as well as an immediate (if not sooner) induction into racings hall of fame. I'm sure the current living hall of fame trainers are mortified that They aren't getting to rub shoulders with this current legend.
Ramon Preciado, hall of famer. Living legend.
Has a nice ring to it.

i can see that you aren't paying to close attention to Parx racing. Marcos Zuletos don't take a back seat to anyone. Juan Carlos Gurearea not that far behind either one of those 2 guys.
they will all be applying their trade in South Florida for the Gulfstream Championship Meet around December 5.

Instead of a silly "fluff" piece, with no substance...give us something. In what situation does Ramon excel, in particular? How is he with 1st off claim? Is he highly profitable with double-jumps in class?
You have a favorite saying to admonish someone: "you're better than that"
Come on, SRU..."YOU'RE BETTER THAN THAT". Give us more meat---less potatoes.

No other trainer in America wins today w Roxbury n Overton. Ths horse made a sustained middle move and just kept 'rebreaking' to hold off a perfect trip horse ridden by an elite NY rider.

He is, however he's burned some serious money the other five times.
I know people like to think guys like him just have a needle and that's the whole of his success, In this instance the realty is a little different.
While everyone else at Parx was training in their shedrow he shipped a group of horses to this obscure training center in New Jersey...
http://westamptonfarm.com/
You'll note most of his horses even show works there. I've even seen some with two works. It's WST in the form.
So say you what you will about Ramon but he running horses who appears to have weeks of track work against horses that jogged in a shedrow.
So while everyone assumed the Maryland and New York guys would rule (and they have won their fair share of races) Juan Vazquez has won some races (won one today in fact) off the farm he trains in down in Delaware. Mike Pino got stalls at Belmont and has shipped back down and won races and Ramon was at Westampton.
These guys aren't dummies.

The obscure facility you are talking about is as nice as they come. 5/8th training track with a sandy surface, exercise pool, eurocisers(15 of them)so before you start saying something is obscure do a little research. The farm has been a great resource for many top trainers since the current owner has put a lot of money into it over the past 10 years. The farm also serves many breeders as well.

Ramon knows what he's doing and has good stock. As long as his horses continues to face weak 6-horse fields, he's going to continue winning at a very high percentage. No surprise there.
By the way, that Westampton Training Center is about 15 minutes from me; really nice facility.
