Lisa Guerrero
win percentage 35.3% for 34 starts. not bad for someone new. it seems like all the horses that she trains comes from someone in her family with the same name.
this is a nice country for those people involved with those horses. i am sure the racing fans on America love this.

She is married to Juan Carlos Guerrero, who was banned from Parx due to allegations of groping a waitress in 2011. Guadalupe Guerrero is her brother in law.

I saw her name and record while scanning the Parx Monday PPs and was blown away that someone new to the game can come in cold and just make the game look really easy.
She's making training look easy, maybe i should try it, doesnt seem like you need much experience in order to come in and start winning.

Wow what a coincidence....I once dated a woman named Lisa guerrero....only for about 2 years though
http://lisaguerrero.com/
In stone disbelief some of the vultures didn't swoop in on this one already...that's the pg-13 version....there's "better" pix out there for all the hound dogs out there
I didn't realize this woman became a horse trainer

Horsemanship is a thing of the past in most stables. The term 'rubbing legs' is hugely over-used as grooms truly no longer 'rub' legs. You can walk a horse one time around the barn and today's grooms will have all four legs on a horse "rubbed down" and wrapped. The hocks, stifles, shoulders, etc.....no longer touched. These grooms today spend more time worrying about cleaning their stalls, then the actual grooming/rubbing of legs of their horses.
Vet work and drugging of horses is what most of these high percentage trainers rely on today. Start watching them closely and their win efforts fall sharply off as is currently the case with last years leading trainer at Monmouth.
The new Guerrero/Ness on the block to watch is Moya.

It used to be unusual for a groom to have as many as 4 horses assigned to him, these days its unusual for a groom to have as few as 4 horses in his care.
They haven't added hours to the day, so its the overall care of the horse that gets shortchanged.

I can remember back to the late seventies.....it all depended on the track, a groom would care anywhere from 3 to 6 horses, sometimes more. These days, its 4 to 6 horses. This really hasn't really changed much.

Training must just be super easy. I mean, this past decade so many have come from nowhere to be instant 30%+ trainers, how hard can it be. I may be leading trainer at Remington Park next year.

Great minds think alike (see post 3 of this thread!)
I may write a book on Training called:
Training race horses, not as hard as you think!
